Mount Carleton is the highest point in the Maritime provinces at 820 m and anchors a wild interior of the Appalachians. The park earned Dark-Sky Preserve status in 2017 — one of the darkest skies east of the Rockies. Rustic campgrounds and back-in sites; no cell service.
